*It’s important to allow enough time for EMDR to process memories safely and effectively. We offer different session lengths based on your needs, and together we’ll decide what fits best after the intake.

For intake sessions, you are invited to complete a short intake form or/and questionnaire package to help us make the most out of your sessions together. We aim to respond to messages within one business day.
EMDR is most effective when there’s enough time to fully engage in the process without rushing. While 60-minute sessions can be helpful for preparation phase, 75 minutes is most recommended at Outland Psychology as a balanced session length. 90-minute sessions are usually reserved for more complex cases, where additional time is needed to move through all phases of EMDR in a careful and contained way.
Cancellation Policy:
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend a session. This allows us to offer the appointment time to someone else. If a cancellation is made with less notice, we may need to charge the full session fee. Of course, we understand that unexpected situations can arise, so please feel free to discuss this with your psychologist if needed.
Reimbursement:
Outland Psychology is a private practice and does not currently hold agreements with insurance providers. Clients are therefore responsible for the payment of their session fees.

Administering and evaluating an intake form and/or questionnaire package as part of the intake session
10-15 minutes of post-session record keeping
Session preparation, treatment planning and evaluation
Administrative tasks (documentation, contract drafting, material preparation, etc.)
Availability during office hours via email and phone (response time usually within 1 business day)
