Frequently Asked Questions
What if I’m not sure who to book with?
That’s completely okay. Simply reach out to us, and we’ll help you choose a psychologist whose experience and approach align with what you’re looking for. This question usually gets answered after the initial free consultation.
Can I switch psychologists later?
Yes. Feeling comfortable and understood is essential in therapy. If at any point you feel another psychologist might be a better fit, we can discuss this and arrange a smooth transition.
What happens in the free consultation?
The free consultation is an opportunity to briefly discuss your concerns, ask questions, and get a sense of how we work. It’s a chance to see whether the connection feels right before deciding to start therapy.
How much does a session cost?
Session costs start from €100. We believe in being fully transparent about our fees, so you always know what to expect. Our pricing is clear and straightforward — there are no hidden fees. Please see a full pricing list here.
Am I required to commit to long-term therapy?
No. There is no long-term obligation. We regularly evaluate the process together and adjust based on your needs and goals.
What is the quality of Outland Psychology’s services?
All Outland psychologists hold Master’s degrees in Psychology that are recognized under Dutch law. They are affiliated with the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (NIP) and adhere to its professional standards and code of ethics. In addition, they participate in regular supervision and ongoing professional training to ensure high-quality care.
Will my treatment be reimbursed?
Outland Psychology is a private practice and does not hold agreements with insurance providers. Therefore, clients are responsible for the payment of their session fees directly.
Not sure who to choose?
That’s completely normal. During the free consultation, we’ll help you determine whether the psychologist you've booked feels like a good fit for you. If not, we’ll suggest an alternative.

Meet Our Psychologists

We offer culture-sensitive in-person and online talking therapy in English, German, Portuguese, and Estonian for international adults in The Hague.
As expat psychologists with diverse backgrounds, we are dedicated to creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, tailoring each session to your individual needs and concerns.
We believe that healing is an ongoing process that takes time, patience, and self-compassion. Instead of searching for a fixed linear path to a permanent state of contentment, we encourage you to embrace therapy as a gradual process with ups and downs, small victories, but also setbacks. It all indicates progress rather than failure.
Our mission is to equip you with the necessary tools and insights to pave the way for a healthier and more fulfilling life. We guide you through your healing journey to a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions.
